Landscape design like other forms of design utilizes the principles and elements of design to create an aesthetically pleasing environment. The principles of design are unity, balance, proportion, emphasis, variety, rhythm, and repetition. Elements of design include color, line, form, texture, and scale. When combined properly the result is a design that looks and feels as if it were a natural part of the landscape.

At Echeandia Lawns & Landscapes our landscape design objective is to provide our customers with a design that meets their needs and wants while taking advantage of the site conditions of the existing landscape.

Our design process begins with a on site consultation. This initial meeting lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. By the end of the meeting the customer will have a general idea about the direction we be taking with our design.

The next step is for us to create a concept plan. This plan will have hardscape features and plants laid out in a full color drawing. A meeting to review the concept then takes place. Afterward final changes to the plan are made and the customer is provided with a copy.
